New York City's certified businesses, one by one
Type a business name. 11,809 businesses certified by the Department of Small Business Services in the file of October 1, 2026.
Counting a subcontractor toward an M/WBE goal? A dated certification report ($19) for your file — or a whole list checked.
What this is
New York City certifies businesses as minority-owned (MBE), women-owned (WBE), emerging (EBE) or locally based (LBE), and its agencies and prime contractors use the list to meet contracting goals. The city publishes it as one file. This site gives every certified business a record you can find and cite: certification types, renewal dates, industry.
Who uses it
- Prime contractors and agencies — confirm a subcontractor's certification before counting it toward a goal.
- Certified businesses — your own record, and when the renewal is due.
- Buyers — certified businesses by industry and by city.
What it is not
Not the Department of Small Business Services, and not a certificate. A business certified after October 1, 2026 is not here, and the State of New York runs a separate certification with its own directory.
